專家介紹：

       Zhang Yong-Wei教授是新加坡科技研究局（A*STAR）高性能盘算研究所执行副所长，于1992年获得西北工业大学博士学位，先后事情于中科院力学研究所，布朗大学、新加坡国立大学以及新加坡科技与设计大学。他提出并生长了多尺度建模与仿真模型，实现对低维质料的物理特性的精准预测并指导相关质料设计，相关结果发表在Science、PNAS、Nature Nanotechnology等高水平期刊上，谷歌引用近4万次，邀请陈诉(invited/keynote/plenary talks and lectures)50余次。他先后获得 Institute Highly Cited Paper Award (2014), Institute Best Inter-Department Industry Project Award (2013), and A*STAR Aerospace Programme Achievement Award (2013)等奖项。

報告內容簡介：

In this talk, I will report our recent progress using theory, modeling and computation as tools to study the relationship between structures and properties of materials, mechanical-thermal coupling and mechanical-electronic coupling of 1D and 2D materials, mechanics in biology and bio-inspired materials and design.
